Here students discover the life of words, of ideas, of stories, of the imagination - both the imagination of the brilliant writers they read, and also their own imagination which they bring to life on the pages they write.
Students will develop excellent communication skills. They will gain a better understanding of grammar and will develop a richer vocabulary. They will explore different literary genres, will understand narrative structure, and will learn how to identify, interpret, and employ literary devices.
And, guided by all that they learn, they will write. Students will take up the pen and become the storytellers. They will have the freedom to play with their imagination and will discover the excitement, the challenge, and the wonder of bringing a world that existed only in their minds into being through words. And, each time they do so, they will become more confident in their ideas, their abilities, and themselves. They will nurture their own voice and will be ready to use it.
Among other projects, Creative Writing students will have the opportunity to write scripts that to be performed by the Theatre students. Most recently, the Creative Writing group wrote a theatrical adaptation of Dracula, performed by the Theatre class in June 2026.

“Helena, thank you very much for the amazing work you do with our children. Your professionalism as well as your extraordinatry kindness are evident in everything you do. The desire to give everyone a place to express themselves and their culture is something very special. If everyone saw the world through your eyes, we would have a better world to live in.”
